It’s official: thru-hiking season has started. The Appalachian-ers are beginning their pilgrimage to Springer Mountain, the West-Coasters are gearing up for the PCT Kick-off, and the hardy folks hiking the Continental Divide have already planned out their first water caches. I’m getting ready to go to the PCT Kick-off this weekend myself, recorder in hand, to do a whole lotta hiker talking. Kimchi is already on her way to the start of the Appalachian Trail, dealing with last minute bumps, hitches, and broken zippers. The rest of our contributors don’t know who they are yet, but we’re looking forward to meeting the hikers who will be part of the stories of Sounds of the Trail.

This is a brand new podcast, with brand new podcasters, so we’re still working out some of the kinks and glitches in the gear ourselves. I’m hoping to have an update soon on the planned schedule and the release date of the first episode. In the meantime, check out some of our instagram feeds at @kgphotoface and @blazethegap.
